CyborgCamp Portland 2010 will occur on Saturday October 2, 2010 from 9:00am – 6:00pm at Webtrends. CyborgCamp is open to both sponsors and donors. To sponsor, send an E-mail to caseorganic at gmail dot com or contact @caseorganic on Twitter.
The event attracts roughly 120 very engaged members of the design and software industries, specifically those working on hardware, mobile, music and standards compliant webdesign. A lot of them have strong theoretical backgrounds and creative minds that are one foot in the future.
Sponsor Levels:
- $1000 – (large logo, inclusion in all promotional materials and website, verbal thank you at the beginning, middle, and end of the conference — sponsor representatives get 5 minute speech at the event).
- $250-$500 – (large logo, inclusion in all promotional materials and website, verbal thank you at the beginning, middle, and end of the conference).
- $100 (small logo, inclusion in all promotional materials and website, verbal thank you at the beginning, middle, and end of the conference)
Sponsor Visibility:
CyborgCamp sponsors will be promoted on all camp materials, websites and social networking streams. Each sponsor will also have an opportunity during the camp to talk about their business in relation to cyborg culture.
Attendees:
We are planning for approximately 120 registered attendees, but expect more. Likely CyborgCampers will be technology professionals, academics and artists with interests in cyborgia from Cascadia (BC, OR, WA) and beyond. You can see a preliminary list of attendees on the CyborgCamp wiki (http://portland.cyborgcamp.org/wiki) and Upcoming event listing (http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/5658275/OR/Portland/CyborgCamp-2010-A-Conference-of-the-Future-of-Humans-and-Technology/Webtrends/).
Pre-Party:
We are organizing a before-party for the evening of Friday, October 1st which all are invited to.
Payment Information:
Panoptisoft LLC will be handling CyborgCamp’s registration, contribution and expense accounts, please contact caseorganic at gmail dot com for payment information. Once your contribution is received, we will send you an acknowledgment letter that will serve as your receipt. If possible, please send the check within the next two weeks so we can ramp up the event planning process. We’ll also ask for a logo to place on the CyborgCamp website.
Your contribution will go to fund the ingredients that will make CyborgCamp a success, including the venue, audio-visual equipment and food and refreshments. Attendees will also pay a $10 registration fee to help cover CyborgCamp costs (namely food). While you and up to two people from your team can attend for free, you will still have to register for the event (so we can provide you with delicious things to eat).
